Camille de Vasconcelos-Taillefer

My name is Camille. I am a fourth-year law student from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. Seeing as I am specialising in women’s rights, I applied for a summer internship with MDAC with the hope of expanding my knowledge on the intersection of women’s rights and disability rights. So far, MDAC has been very sensitive to this specific interest of mine, allowing me to contribute to the draft of a report to be sent to the CRPD Committee on article 6 of the CRPD which emphasizes the rights of women and girls with disabilities. By the end of my internship, I will also contribute to MDAC’s research on promising practices in implementing mental disability rights, focusing more specifically on British Columbia’s legislative framework.
