- In exercising its functions as a National Preventive Mechanism under the Optional Protocol to the Convention against Torture, place a strong emphasis on monitoring psychiatric institutions.
- Renew the call for an end to all forms of coercive practices which violate international human rights law.
- In line with Article 33(3) of the CRPD, coordinate with representatives of non-governmental organsiations (NGOs), disabled people’s organisations (DPOs) and people with disabilities themselves when conducting monitoring of psychiatric institutions, social care institutions, and mental health services in the country.
